Between Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines, IAM District 142 represents over 7500 employees, including Clerical, Office, Passenger Service, Ramp and Stores. Here in BOS, there are 42 Alaska Airlines employees on the property.

​Alaska Airlines is currently in the process of merging with Hawaiian Airlines. This will be the Company's second acquisition in the last 10 years, the previous one being Virgin America in 2017. During the merge with Virgin America, it was the IAM Union who negotiated with the Company and provided job security to all Virgin America frontline workers across the country. Without representation, hundreds of jobs would have been lost.
